Aquafitness Leadership Alliance (CALA) Certificates to Barb McNeill
and Lori Wedge. Both recently passed their certification
testing. CALA is an organization dedicated to providing high
quality training, certification and communication network for
aquafitness leaders and aquatic rehabilitation specialists around
the world. Both McNeill and Wedge agree that aquafitness
classes are an excellent physical activity suitable for people of
all ages and fitness levels. Aquafitness classes are low
impact as the water cushions muscles and joints, the water offers
multidirectional resistance and each individual can adapt the
workout to change the intensity to suit individual needs.
Aquafitness classes develop coordination, balance, cardiovascular
conditioning, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance.
