"The Foundations of Vertical Water Training - The Kopansky Method Pre-Requisite Course and the Group Aqua Fitness Specialty Training and Certification Course have been launched in Ontario and Alberta thus far. All other provinces continue to use the CALA Combined Foundations of Fitness Theory and Aquafitness Leadership Training Course, Part 1 & Part 2. Any person who has completed the CALA Combined Foundations course, is not required to complete the Vertical Water Training Course or the Group Aqua Fitness Specialty Course."

A variety of Aquafit classes are offered at various facilities throughout the world. Aquafitness is popular with all nationalities and ages.

How can you find a class?

Some suggestions to finding a class include:

  • Search the internet
  • Contact your local 
    • Parks and Recreation centre
    • Fitness facilities
    • Schools for after hour programs
    • Hotels, resorts and spas
  • Arrange for an instructor to come to your pool (personal, apartment or condo)
  • Network with your neighbourhood or social groups
  • Take a vacation at a resort or cruise ship

Below is a list of some facilities that offer Aquafit. You will need to check with each facility to learn what classes are offered. Classes offered do vary from centre to centre as needs changes.
